About the Event

Can you feel the impact of poor posture around your neck and shoulders? Do you feel as though your core is so weak that your spine is having to work double-time just to hold you up? Or is that consistent niggle in your lower back bothering you even as you read this?

Then you MUST join us for this 4-Week 'Pilates for Spine Health' Course.

Backpain is something which we have been told time-and-time-again is 'just a sign of age', or 'a typical symptom of modern living', or something to 'just get on with'... Here at The Shala, we don't want our students to settle degenerating spine health. Not when we know that our pilates pro teacher has got more tricks up her sleeve to help you heal your backpain than we can shake a stick at!

So if you are ready to fight back against back-pain, and regain all of the joy and freedom and play that having a healthy spine can bring, we hope you will join us.  

This 4-week course, 'Pilates for Spine Health', takes place every Wednesday evening at 7.20pm to support you in rebuilding deep-core strength, boosting mobility and learning how to take better care of your back moving forward... 

This course IS NOT about crunching for 'rock-hard abs', planking to 'shred it' and 'feeling the burn'. While your muscles may become more visible as the weeks go on, these sessions work much more subtly than that... but trust us when we say, they are infinitely more effective when it comes to healing backpain and boosting the overall health of the spine.

As each week passes, you will build a toolkit of simple mini-exercises which you can practice in-between sessions so as to keep up the good work at home! And each week, our experienced instructor will adjust your practice, provide you with individual guidance and check on your process during class, so that your time on the mat is maximised to the fullest.

This course runs on four consecutive weeks from Wednesday the 29th of September (29/9, 6/10, 13/10, 20/10). 

Terms and Conditions

Classes will begin on the week commencing the 27th September and continue for four consecutive weeks.

In the event that there is an individual class that you can't attend within the package for whatever reason (holiday, sickness, other commitments, etc) please let us know via email to no less than 48 hours before the class taking place. If you do not attend a class for any reason you will lose that class from your course and no refund, extentions or transfers will be provided. In the event that The Shala needs to close for any reason during the time of the course (eg. lockdown, tier restrictions etc...) the class will take place on Zoom instead of in-person and a recording of the session will be provided.
