About the Event

Join us for this six week course which offers the opportunity to connect with your femininity, learn soothing tips that will work for you AND your little one (during pregnancy, birth and beyond!), and interact with other expectant mothers? During this special time whilst your body is changing and your emotions are constantly shifting, you are becoming responsible for a tiny human! All of this being said, self-care is more important now than ever before. And did you know that practicing yoga during pregnancy can help ease the birth transition from bump to baby? 

This course is perfect for absolute beginners to yoga too, provided you are past your first trimester and have the consent and support to practice from your midwife or other medical practitioner. Please do remember, that you practice yoga at your own risk. However, our highly qualified and experienced instructor will provide tuition, support and individual modifications as we move through each session to ensure that you are both comfortable and confident throughout the practice. 

The course takes place once per week on recurring Sundays (16/2, 23/2, 1/3, 8/3, 15/3, 22/3) for one hour each time (10am-11am).

Pregnancy yoga, and its benefits, are a gift to you and your little one... So what can you expect from the movement, meditation and breath-work practices that will take place during a pregnancy yoga class? Well, our provisional curriculum is as follows;

Week 1 - Connecting Body, Bump and Breath (Modified Sun Salutation)

Week 2 - Symptoms, Stillness and Strength (Modified Asanas for Pregnancy Aches and Pains - The Woman Warrior)

Week 3 - Movement and Mindfulness (Active Birthing 1)

Week 4 - Flow and Femininity (Active Birthing 1)

Week 5 - Mindset Mastery (Birthing Meditation, Mantras and Movement)

Week 6 - Bump Blessing (A Celebration of the Six Week Course)
