About the Event

This six week course is structured to provide you with a deeper awareness of traditional ashtanga yoga philosophy, why we practice it, and how we can 'live our yoga' every day! 

The course takes place once per week on recurring Thursdays (9/1, 16/1, 23/1, 30/1, 6/2, 13/2) for one hour each time (7.20pm-8.20pm). The class begins with a 15-minute physical yoga asana practice, then moves into discussion and self-study.

Our provisional curriculum is as follows;

Week 1 - An Introduction to Patanjali's Niyamas; Exploring Purity in 'Saucha'

Week 2 - Finding Contentment in 'Santosha'

Week 3 - Exercising Self-Discipline in 'Tapas'

Week 4 - The Practice of Self-Study in 'Svadhyaya'

Week 5 - Softening into Self-Surrender in 'Ishvara Pranidhana'

Week 6 - Reflecting on Patanjali's Niyamas and How to Carry Your Yoga Off the Mat
