6-Week Yoga for Back-Care Course (Fridays 12pm)

About the Event
This six week course is the perfect yoga practice for anyone working with physical aches, pains or discomfort and is brilliant for absolute beginners or those with mobility issues as our instructor is qualified in chair-yoga as well as mat-yoga. You will learn the basics of yoga-inspired exercises from a Dru Yoga background, breathing techniques ('pranayama'), yoga philosophy, meditation and relaxation. Please be sure to inform your instructor of any additional needs or medical conditions befor each class and via email at the beginning of the course (email@example.com) so that we can ensure you get the maximum benefits from the practice. Also ensure that you have the consent of your medical practitioner before signing up for this course. Please practice at your own pace and listen to your body; your body is your responsibility.
The course takes place once per week on recurring Fridays (31/1, 7/2, 14/2, 28/2, 6/3 and 13/3) for one hour each time (12pm-1pm). Please note that we will have no class on February the 21st in order to coincide with local school half-term holidays.

Week 1 - Body Awareness and Yoga Asana 1
Week 2 - Body Awareness and Yoga Asana 1
Week 3 - Surrendering the Habit of Bracing
Week 4 - Myofascial Release and Softening
Week 5 - Breathing and Relaxation
Week 6 - Energy Work within Spine Care (Chakras and Koshas)
