About the Event

This six week course is the perfect introduction to gentle yoga for absolute beginners. You will learn the basics of yoga postures ('asanas'), breathing techniques ('pranayama'), yoga philosophy, meditation and relaxation. You will also learn how a regular weekly yoga practice can positively influence your life off the mat as well as on! Its a serious crash course in hatha yoga.  

The course takes place once per week on recurring Tuesdays (18/2, 25/2, 3/3, 10/3, 17/3, 24/3) for one hour each time (7.20pm-8.20pm).

Our provisional curriculum is as follows;

Week 1 - Foundations and Focus; Meditating in Posture

Week 2 - The Breath Works; Pranayama

Week 3 - Flowing Sequences; Sun Salutations

Week 4 - Standing Postures 101

Week 5 - Seated Postures 101

Week 6 - Course Recap and Reflection
