About the Event

Bring your little cherubs along to this six week course which offers the opportunity to bond with your new baby, learn soothing tips for your little one (because we all know how hard those long nights can be!), practice pelvic-floor strengthening techniques and interact with other new mamas. This course is very much for mama AND baby... Whilst some modules may focus on baby (for example, either of our baby massage themed weeks) mama will be stretching, strengthening and rebuilding stamina as we go.

This course is perfect for absolute beginners to yoga too, provided that you have the consent and support to practice from your midwife or other medical practitioner (we advise waiting minimum six-weeks after vaginal birth, and twelve-weeks after c-section before getting started). Please do remember, that you practice yoga at your own risk. However, our highly qualified and experienced instructor will provide tuition, support and individual modifications as we move through each session to ensure that you and baby are both comfortable and confident throughout the practice. 

PLEASE NOTE: We understand that babies are unpredictable! PLEASE do not worry if your little one is prone to reflux, needs walking around, cries often or even sleeps throughout the class. We are a breast-feeding friendly space, have baby-changing facilities and don't mind you bringing any quiet toys that help to soothe or entertain your baby. Please leave prams, pushchairs or strollers in the car (feel free to bring little one in their carseat, carrier/sling/wrap, or carry them in your arms).

Post-natal and baby yoga are a gift to you and your little one... So what can you expect from the movement, meditation and breath-work practices that will take place during a Mama and Me class? Well, our provisional curriculum is as follows;

Week 1 - The Newborn Mother's Body (Movement and Mindfulness)

Week 2 - Stretch and Soothe (Baby Massage 1)

Week 3 - Comfort in Cuddles (Exploring Postures and Positioning for Time Spent Together)

Week 4 - Strengthen and Soothe (Baby Massage 2)

Week 5 - Strengthen and Sensory (Learning to Play!)

Week 6 - Relaxation and Restoration (Sleep Focus for Mama and Babe) 

Week 7 - Mum and Baby Yoga Memories (Photoshoot and Positive Affirmation Card Creation)

Terms and Conditions

Classes will begin on the week commencing the 2nd November and continue for seven consecutive weeks.

In the event that there is an individual class that you can't attend within the package for whatever reason (holiday, sickness, other commitments, etc) please let us know via email to no less than 48 hours before the class taking place. If we are able to fill your spot for that individual session with another student, you may bank that class to use to a class on an alternative course during the seven weeks providing there is space. If there is not space in another class, or we are unable to fill your spot, or you cancel or no-show less than 48 hours before the class taking place, you will lose that class from your package.

Outside of these goodwill-and-able package alterations, there will be no refunds, extensions, or transfers to alternative dates, courses, services or students permitted.
